<Guest39> I am having a issue trying to network my beagleboard. I can issue a ip address to the eth0 and can ping the gateway of my network but not the outside assigned ip or the dns ip address?
<Guest39> I need to download some python code.
<jakllsch> is there a default route installed?
Posterdati has joined #beagle
<jakllsch> Guest39: ip -4 route show|grep default
<jakllsch> (or -6 if you're using v6)
<Guest39> hold on was distracted need to log into the unit
<Guest39> ever seen logging in as root as very slow to respind?
<jakllsch> that can happen due to network/dns issues
<Guest39> default via 192.168.12.1 dev eth0
<jakllsch> that look sane enough?
<Guest39> What do you mean?
<jakllsch> is that the IP address of your router
