<set_> Guys! Never fear me. Dang it.
<set_> I have an idea. Make something. That is the idea. Is it okay if I use a Cape w/out EEPROM?
<set_> I know most people would advise against set_, me, using Capes w/out EEPROM and building them.

<set_> The Capes people make are awesome. Do not discredit my knowledge of how nice the current Capes are currently.
<set_> I just thought making one would be a step up in learning.
<set_> Not...
<set_> 1. A Breadbaord
<set_> 2. another circuit...
<set_> 3. and not a "cool" thing.

<set_> I really wanted to try to make it. I am learning slowly (very). And! I know nothing about what the beagleboard.org persons are doing w/ Capes currently or in the future.
<set_> So, I figured, I could learn a bit, produce, and try things out...
<set_> i read the info. about the Cape production on the BBB Rev. C wiki. I know the "rules." Supposedly.
<set_> I mean...is an EEPROM necessary on the Capes for self use or only in production instances?
<set_> side note...PyTorch is now a Linux based "thing-a-ma-doodle." Neat! More!

<zmatt> set_: eeprom isn't needed for experimental purposes, it's just used to make commercially produced capes work "plug & play" on people's beaglebones

<set_> oh!
<set_> Nice!
<set_> One less component to find!
<set_> People are hiding their components like it is gold!
<set_> I even harassed the kind people at digikey about some chips that seem to be unavailable for 55 weeks. There are only 52 weeks.
<set_> The final battle!
<set_> ha.
<set_> Thank you, @zmatt. Thank you for telling me.
<set_> I am in no shape to handle commercial stuff. "You know and so does everyone everywhere."
<set_> I have been waiting to handle the Cape fiasco but w/out EEPROM. Now, I know!
<set_> The one commercial, not industry news, jkridner held his BB upside down in the promo...
<set_> It was good, i.e. as I can recall a school day when I had to do it too.
<set_> "You want ME to do this?
<set_> "
<set_> No more typing. My fingers are jittery.
<set_> Thank you.

<set_> W/, and yes I have other ideas, LKMs (b/c someone brought this up in kernel 2.6) being in a deleted state...It means broken.
<set_> Ha.
<set_> Dang it. Past 10:00. Sorry.

<set_> Is this an error on older images or is this an error on me?
<set_> I am using the BBAI-64 right now.
<set_> Forget it.
<set_> It is me.

<jfsimon1981> Hi set, working on PCB design at the moment

<set_> Nice.
<set_> I am back!
<set_> Big motors? Nice pumps? What?

<set_> Anyway...I found some nice gas sensors. Level, dip, and all for interior containers. The guy probably pays these people wazoos of cash to get them "calibrated" and fixed up. He finally is selling his farm truck. I caught him the other day. I was going to say something but he was dead in the middle of church talk w/ another person.
<set_> I should have said something.
<set_> it is very difficult to go from preaching about church to a nice segway into pump levels and dips.
<set_> rants...I know. I will refrain for now.

<outrageous> Might work if you mix it in with some discussion about the sermon.
<set_> Good idea.
<set_> I have not practiced in some time now. So, I am rusty.
<set_> Mr. Rust whithering!
