<Guest5>
Hi
<Guest5>
I want to compare BEagleBone with Raspberry pi4
<Guest5>
Which beaglebone model use for compare?
<Guest5>
Which beaglebone model higher than Raspberry-pi 4 as performance , ram, interface
<zmatt>
they're very different devices... the rpis are basically consumer products, using largely undocumented media-oriented SoCs that are custom for the rpi foundation and are not available for purchase by anyone else. the beaglebones are based on well-documented industrial SoCs that are easily available, which makes the beaglebones also useful for prototyping custom designs
<Guest5>
ok.
<Guest5>
what is OSD3358 cpu operating temperature
CrazyEddy has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds]
<Guest5>
ANd AM335X ?
<zmatt>
cpu performance is typically not the most important factor in industrial applications, they tend to care more about reliability and such. the am335x in particular does not have a very fast cpu (1 GHz Cortex-A8) compared to the rpi4
<Guest5>
which beaglebone model I use?
<zmatt>
am335x has various temperature ratings, the one used in most beaglebones is 0 to 90 degrees
<zmatt>
you haven't given any useful information about what you want to use the device for, hence I cannot answer that
<Guest5>
I sorry
<Guest5>
Unmanned aerial system
<Guest5>
forredundant autopilot
<Guest5>
for redundant autopilot
<Guest5>
it must work -40-+85 operation temperature
<zmatt>
the beaglebone industrial supports that temperature range
<Guest5>
it is compatible with CAN,RS485, RS232 communicaiton protocol
<Guest5>
it is compatible with px4 and ardupilot autopilot
<zmatt>
it supports such interfaces
<zmatt>
with suitable external transceivers
<zmatt>
I don't really know much about ardupilot or px4, I would assume they run on any linux system but that's a question better asked to their communities I guess
<Guest5>
what do you say ? "Beaglebone AI-64" or "beagleboardX15" or "BeagleBone Black Industrial" or "SeeedStudio BeagleBone Green" or "SanCloud BeagleBone Enhanced" or "BeagleBoard-xM" or "BeagleBone AI"
<zmatt>
the BeagleBone Black Industrial supports the temperature range you asked for
<Guest5>
BeagleBone Black Industrial perfomance is lower
<Guest5>
what is price?
<zmatt>
is the internet down?
<Guest5>
no
<zmatt>
BBB Industrial's performance is same as other AM335x-based beaglebones
<Guest5>
"Beaglebone AI-64" ?
<Guest5>
"beagleboardX15" ?
<zmatt>
what about them?
<Guest5>
"BeagleBoard-xM"?
<Guest5>
"BeagleBone AI"?
<zmatt>
the xM is an ancient and obsolete device
<Guest5>
Performance?
<zmatt>
are you doing machine vision?
<Guest5>
ok.
<Guest5>
not much.
<Guest5>
I machine learning
<Guest5>
not much
<Guest5>
raspberrypi 4 is
<Guest5>
1.5 Ghz
<Guest5>
4 ram
<Guest5>
BCM2711 cpu
<Guest5>
4 core
<zmatt>
why are you copy-pasting specs of the rpi4 ? nobody here cares, and if they did they would look it up online
<zmatt>
most of what you've stated are meaningless numbers anyway
<zmatt>
if you need the highest performing board from beagleboard.org for machine vision, that would be the BeagleBone AI-64 currently... if you have the space, power, and cooling for it
<zmatt>
if you want an rpi4, use an rpi4
<Guest5>
ı want to use beaglebone
<zmatt>
anyway, I gotto go to work, afk
<Guest5>
I should say beaglebone is faster than raspberry pi to my leader
<Guest5>
so
<Guest5>
ı take your idea .
<Guest5>
ok
