<Guilherme> Hello! Has anyone been having a bit of trouble with vring? After I updated the support package to 6.0.0 (which breaks support for kernel 5.4, so I moved to 5.10), which seems to make a few changes to maps and the resource table, I've been having trouble with getting the vring interrupt at runtime.
<Guilherme> [  391.001067] pru-rproc 4a338000.pru: IRQ vring not found
<Guilherme> [  391.014426] remoteproc remoteproc2: unable to get vring interrupt, status = -6
<Guilherme> [  391.030575] remoteproc remoteproc2: can't start rproc 4a338000.pru: -6
<Guilherme> [  391.041895] remoteproc remoteproc2: Boot failed: -6
<Guilherme> I'm running the PRU echo (AM335x) example, compiling with compiler 2.3.3, debug flags, no optimization

<zmatt> that error suggests a DT problem

<Guilherme> Seems like it, I've tried messing around AM335X-PRU-RPROC-4-19-TI-00A0 to get it to 5.10, but to no avail. I've also searched for it on the overlays repo, but there doesn't seem to be anything there as well, is there anything I'm missing?
<rcn-ee> Guilherme, pru-rproc is enabled by defaul in v5.4.x and v5.10.x-ti.. don't worry abou thte overlay..
<rcn-ee> Guilherme, are you on buster or bullseye, i have a prebuilt version of 5.9.x pru-sdk for bullseye: https://github.com/rcn-ee/repos/tree/master/ti-pru-software/suite/bullseye/debian
<rcn-ee> i'll merge in: https://git.ti.com/gitweb?p=pru-software-support-package/pru-software-support-package.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/tags/v6.0.0
<Guilherme> I'm on buster currently, thanks for the tip
<Guilherme> I'll move to Bullseye rather soon, this is still under testing so I guess we can afford to be on the edge for a while

<Guilherme> I've tested it again this afternoon, building from the prebuilt SDK, the problem seems to persist (overlay or no overlay), even when compiled with CCS

<zmatt> how you build your executables is irrelevant for DT problems
<zmatt> oh he left
