(auto-)locale already works well, just selecting a proper kbd before asking for a pw would be nice
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <mecoblock> it just needs the same cli as armbian-config where you can actually scroll to select and not just print every option available without being able to scroll up in the terminal for locale
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <menu> *that's TUI, not CLI*, though it would be nice to present the same tool in all three formats; today's goal is to get "safe" ingestion of the config from multiple sources
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <mecoblock> didn’t know the exact term but yes. I know my german keyboard will swap y and z in the initial setup but that’s only from experience. For new users when entering the first pw you’re just getting *** stars without the letters being shown so that could actually result in people writing the correct password and then not being able to login again (special characters instead of <clipped message>
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <mecoblock> letters on the right side of the keyboard)
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <menu> i may see if i can replicate the logic Apple uses, it is definitely quicker, just not sure if i'll catch every layout

[Discord] <di5cord38> I have converted the root filesystem from ext4 to btrfs, changed what is needed in fstab and changed rootfstype=ext4 in armbianEnv.txt to btrfs. What I wonder is 1. can I add modules=btrfs in armbianEnv.txt and 2. do I need to do something more to get it booting?
<lanefu>
I think btrfs is just compiled into the kernel rather than a module, so shouldnt need to do any modules stuff

[Discord] <di5cord38> I added modules=btrfs to armbianEnv.txt and it doesn't boot or show anything on screen

[Discord] <di5cord38> I wonder if me doing btrfs Zstd compression might screw something up with the booting. Maybe LZO or ZLIB is better
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <di5cord38> I will try that first.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <di5cord38> Will keep you posted.

[Discord] <di5cord38> That did nothing...

<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <di5cord38> I will have to redo it all and probably add the modules=btrfs and do a initrd before converting to btrfs. Thank you for listening, @DC-IRC
