<silver2row> Yep.
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> I am back to square one again. Now, nothing builds and I have everything hard copied too.
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> Back to the living big. One mow job and the whole world goes down...
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> Sheesh.

I've performed a fresh install of armbian on a pinebook. uname reports the kernel is 6.1.30-sunxi64, I'm trying to install ZFS via dkms and currently stuck since there doesn't appear to be any headers for this version
<sevan>
there's linux-headers-6.1.11-sunxi64, but not for 6.1.30
<sevan>
any pointers appreciated :)
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> Even in WSL2?
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> Me?
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> Yep.
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> I am on a Debian Machine now.
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> Now, nothing works.
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> I think the updated kernel is not available yet from beagleboard.org. Or at least I cannot find their updated kernel w/ reference to the riscv64 board that was produced for them.
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> It seems there is not ins or outs right now.
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> Blah.
<sevan>
hmm, if I install linux-headers-current-sunxi64 packge, I get /usr/src/linux-headers-5.15.93-sunxi64. edge version gives 6.1.11-sunxi64 :s
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> @viraniac ouch.. they are using that 5.10.113 one? oh that one is so painful

<tenkawa42> ugh yet another Imagination 3D GPU imlementation too 😦
<DC-IRC>
<viraniac> yeah its an old kernel. but I believe it will get mainline support soon
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> It already is getting it
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> Just some of the part choices are.... meh
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> I'm still intrigued though
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> I like the form factor
<DC-IRC>
<viraniac> Me too. But its too costly for me to buy
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> no m.2 or pci-e limits it a lot
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> (for me)
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> even a 2248 nvme slot would've been nice
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> (or whatever the short slot number is)
<DC-IRC>
<viraniac> I wont mind it missing. M.2 is fast, but nvme drives are still costly in India
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> Yeah.. that is a tradeoff that does come into the equation

<silver2row> @viraniac : Yeppers.
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> I saw it. 5.10.x.
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> I think in Aug, the beagleboard.org people plan on using 6.1.x but I am not sure if this accounts for the BeagleV-Ahead.
<DC-IRC>
<silver2row> I will be building again and soon. For now, I am stuck w/ some random error when things worked in the past. I will work through them and get back to you or whomever wants to try to still help me help you help me or whatever.
