<DC-IRC> <igorpec> we haven't got 5+ hw samples yet, so those were published without much testings
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> IgorPec, thanks. I got my board a week ago, last night I pull it into the case
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> I have all three now
<DC-IRC> <igorpec> mine should be in the office during upcoming week
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> I still need to talk with you, sorry. I work for the CDC/NIOSH in IT and team lead, so I been slammed, so I haven't forget your office hours and I do want to help.
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> The board is bigger as you can see
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> Thanks Guys
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> I will let you know how the image does
<DC-IRC> <nicod_sbc> Good luck, working on an important video now. How to use uart.
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> Man, I need that, I have a SuperRenegade I can't get boot and everyone keeps saying use UART, well it, that easier said than done
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> So can't wait
<DC-IRC> <tenkawa42> @terrorpup is that a microconnectors pi case I see on the left?
<DC-IRC> <tenkawa42> (tower rack)
JyZyXy has joined #armbian
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> so that two OPi 5 cases that I use a brass connect both together thus making a tower rack
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> I got tired of them sliding off each other
<DC-IRC> <tenkawa42> I have one of these I re-purposed for my sbcs
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> I do a lot with VM so I am trying to get libvirtd working on OrangePI, why I am using Armbian Debian, I had real good luck with on the Odroid M1
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> you mean this
<DC-IRC> <tenkawa42> heheh
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> 5 Renegade running Armbian Debian 11 ( Bullseye ), that my docker swarm cluster
<DC-IRC> <tenkawa42> Loooking at possibly replacing with 52pi's 12 layer one ...
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> Tenkawa, NicoD and IgorPec don't have Microcenter in Eupore
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> I am lucky I got two in Atlanta
<DC-IRC> <tenkawa42> @terrorpup I'm in their home office town....
<DC-IRC> <tenkawa42> Ohio
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> You can see with these geeekpi case what I did to connect them
<DC-IRC> <tenkawa42> Its my toy store
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> Cool, I was in Ohio last week, couldn't go to Microcenter, had to do work stuff
<DC-IRC> <tenkawa42> bbialw... need to go somewhere before storm gets here and I use a bike for travel and don't want to get caught in rain

<DC-IRC> <stamasd> I hope this is the right place to ask this. How do you do some things like controlling various I2C/SPI items in Armbian? For instance a nokia 5110 LCD. Yes I know it's old but still useful. I see some Adafruit libraries for RaspiOS but installing those is not straightforward as it needs to go through pipx not pip3, and that opens a stack of cans of worms. Is there a better way to do it?
ShaneonConduitrs has joined #armbian
<DC-IRC> <stamasd> the only thing I found is this https://github.com/bitbank2/nokia5110 and it doesn't compile with current gcc
<DC-IRC> <stamasd> same for the OLED modules, like the 128x64 I2C ones
<DC-IRC> <stamasd> vary hard to find anything that works with those on Armbian
<DC-IRC> <stamasd> very hard to find anything that works with those on Armbian
<DC-IRC> <stamasd> s opposed to how easy it is to get those working in Arduino for instance
