[Discord] <nicod_sbc> Anyone try the 6.1 rockchip kernel? They've been talking about it a year but I haven't seen it in the wild being used.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <nicod_sbc> RK3583. What woyld that be?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <spooky8086> The current dev branch for the 6.1 rockchip kernel works, but will be a pain to rebase patches from the 5.10 rockchip kernel. So i'm waiting for an official release / tag to be published before spending time on it.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <nicod_sbc> Maybe 4 big cores instead of A55?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <ixiion_> hi question is the nanopc-t6 more or less identical with the orange pi 5 plus?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <ixiion_> any difference in support from Armbian?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <shivansps> probably an A76 enabled SoC to compite with RPI5
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <shivansps> it dosent need much really
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <nicod_sbc> Should be. All rk3588 perform wihin 2.5percent of each other. So I don"t expect a performance difference. At most they can use a bit faster memory chips. But I don't have that board. I do have about different 10 RK3588 devices.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <nicod_sbc> The difference is the maintainer is Tony for PC-t6. He's a capable man.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <ixiion_> okay thanks
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <shivansps> I hope it is G610 too, that would put it way ahead of RPI5 soc
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <ixiion_> so which one would you choose nanopc-t6 or orange-pi 5 plus?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <shivansps> NanoPC-T6 has LPDDR4X-2133?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <ixiion_> RAM: 64-bit 4GB/8GB/16GB LPDDR4X at 2133MHz according to their web page yes
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <nicod_sbc> The Y6 looks nice, I"ve got the OPi5+ here and I think it's one of the best RK3588. Maybe the best.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <nicod_sbc> T6
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <efectn> Orange pi has larger community. I'd buy it Accord to price
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <efectn> Orange pi has larger community. I'd buy it according to the price
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <rpardini> using rockchip-rk3588 edge (6.7-rcX, I'm bumping it to 7) I don't get any thermal sensors. ideas?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <amazingfate> Enable tsadc
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <rpardini> Bingo, thanks.
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <rpardini> ```dts
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <rpardini> &tsadc {
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <rpardini> status = "okay";

[Discord] <infinity_q> same. I very much like my Opi5+
