<DC-IRC> <Robin> Hmm... I'm having issues with the rockchip (rock5b) that audio over USB isn't working (using the armbian base image) Any ideas?
<DC-IRC> <Robin> Well, ok, it is working, but it is not working in chromium
<DC-IRC> <Tenkawa> @Robin thats likely a pipewire problem
<DC-IRC> <Robin> Well, after research, it's most likely a permission issue I think
<DC-IRC> <Robin> Under root, it works
<DC-IRC> <Robin> but on other devices the same setup works too
<DC-IRC> <Tenkawa> Ok if thats the case... check your udev rules
<DC-IRC> <Tenkawa> make sure you have one to allow users access to the devices or add yourself to the audio group
<DC-IRC> <Tenkawa> Reason I initally thought it might have been pipewire is chromium and a few apps switched the apis they use to communicate and wasn't sure if it might have been using that (I don't use sound on Linux anymore.... they made a mess of it back when I used it)
<DC-IRC> <Robin> hmmmmm
<DC-IRC> <Robin> Seems like the group permission allows me to see the audio device, but I wasn't able to test it yet if it really works
