<MicroLinux (Salva)> Hdmi-in worked on my side with amazingfate suggestions so far.
<DC-IRC>
<MicroLinux (Salva)> Sorry, can't roll a dice on my rock5B currently, it's my main desktop
<DC-IRC>
<MicroLinux (Salva)> They way it's implemented in the kernel makes it very unusable, it doesn't work for obs

<FergusL> Hello dear armbian community! I know this is slightly offtopic here... I just struggle to find the right information so any suggestions about where to look would be appreciated:
<DC-IRC>
<FergusL> I've got a RG351M, a RK3326 handheld, it's literally an sbc with a screen an controls.
<DC-IRC>
<FergusL> I'm trying to hack on available images, one is based on ubuntu, another on libreelec
<DC-IRC>
<FergusL> I struggle to make changes to boot.ini and the BOOT partition in general, I could swap the rootfs partition with one from ARM Arch Linux and confirmed on the screen that it dropped me into the arch console, which was good. But that was still using the BOOT partition from the ubuntu-based image
<DC-IRC>
<FergusL> Is there some documentation on every files needed and how to hack around in BOOT? uboot is 2017.09
<DC-IRC>
<FergusL> more generally I'd prefer ubuntu/debian and would like to read up on how to assemble an image from the kernel, a rootfs, possibly build steps for uboot, to get the system booting

<Oscar Björkman> You are my hero. I couldn't get away from the llvmpipe no matter what I tried. Thank you, this might be saving my bachelor thesis!!!
<DC-IRC>
<jkent> Hmm, I can't seem to get SPI1 on the RK3399 to run faster than 18 MHz
<DC-IRC>
<jkent> PCIe/NVME isn't working either
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> @jkent with what?... pcie/nvme works on mine with a card I have
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> On a RockPro64
<DC-IRC>
<jkent> It was working previously, NanoPC T4
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> What was updated? Kernel/dts?
<DC-IRC>
<jkent> Its been a while, when it was previously working it was on the old build system. Build was on 6d182e4aaf1c1444c30b75fd15fa175c0d93af22
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> Tthat doesn't really help... they are using an entirely new build system in the last month if its been longer than that.
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> that doesn't really help... they are using an entirely new build system in the last month if its been longer than that.
<DC-IRC>
<jkent> Aye. I know
<DC-IRC>
<jkent> that was post-swtich
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> Where are you using pci-e at? I don't see a pci-e interface on that board
<DC-IRC>
<jkent> Its got a M.2 on the bottom side of the board for an SSD
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> oh yeah there it is... friendlyelec with their "oh so not great" specs listings
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> I only had one of their units (nanopi neo plus 2)... don't mess with their hardware much
<DC-IRC>
<jkent> I'll try a few things
<DC-IRC>
<FergusL> friendlyelec always looked better than orange pi for example to me, or banana pi
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> @FergusL yes...for build quality... that still doesn't reflect on their documentation
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> .. or lack there of
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius> Tenkawa just loves the Pine wien
