Does program objcopy depend on architecture?
<
singham>
There's also this program strip
<
singham>
Are the risc objcopy different from normal objcopy?
<
lambda>
objcopy should be architecture-agnostic, strip might be too - I don't think they really look at the contents of ELF sections
<
singham>
There's riscv32-unknown-elf-objcopy and then there's normal objcopy
<
singham>
Is there no difference in them?
<
singham>
I'm based on aarch64 so there's the default installed objcopy of gcc
<
jix_>
IIRC and that hasn't changed, binutils can be compiled to support all architectures or to support only a specific architecture
<

Thanks. In worst case then, I can compile it
