<tambry> Using downstream I'm seeing CAPTURE_ERROR_NO_RESOURCES when initializing ISP: https://pastebin.com/raw/9viy0UkM
<tambry> Any idea what I should look at? I tried a few different variations of the firmware, but haven't had luck.
<cyndis> please ask on the forum mentiond in the topic
<tagr> cyndis, digetx: definite NAK on driver rewrites, I thought I had made that clear already
<digetx> too late, I already did it three years ago; guys, I'm not sure whether you read my message fully, I'm suggesting to write write a new driver in order to use it as a reference for the upstream driver changes, otherwise it's difficult to see which essential parts are missing and how to implement it all properly
<digetx> the current upstream host1x driver doesn't fit into the DRM, IOMMU and power management models; this is a big problem that require a thoughtful restructure of the driver

<tagr> digetx: I don't see how writing a driver from scratch is going to help with that
<tagr> I'm also not sure I agree with your assertion that it doesn't fit into the various models, seems to work just fine
<tagr> and as always, if there's something that needs to be improved, we can always do that, but again, rewriting the driver from scratch isn't going to help since we're going to have to integrate the changes into the existing driver anyway
