<ifreund> neat, I got antares running
<ifreund> I only had to hackily specify a few paths to get it to build and find the C/guile libraries at runtime
notzmv has quit [Ping timeout: 248 seconds]
<ifreund> leon-p: antares will no cause river to crash when a window is closed
<ifreund> s/no/no longer/
<ifreund> my new goal is clicking on windows to switch focus and raise/lower
<ifreund> I will add river_node_v1.place_top/bottom too, it's only like 5 extra lines in river

<dariasc> hi, ifreund i can't seem to get vrr working on the latest river, wlr-randr shows adaptive sync ok, when i revert to before 066baa575340a1926bc300cbeebba8ee735839a0 it seems to work ok
<vyivel> open an issue maybe
<dariasc> will do, just thought it wasnt a bug and more of a configuration issue on my part lol
<ifreund> dariasc: yes, an issue would be appreciated
<ifreund> IRC is too ephemeral for bug reports, it's ok if not every issue turns out to be an actual bug
<ifreund> in any case, I did glance over the commit your bisect landed on and didn't see anything suspicious
<ifreund> how are you checking if VRR is enabled?
<ifreund> and do you have tearing enabled?
<dariasc> i am checking with my monitor fps hud
<dariasc> i tried both with and without tearing, didn't seem to affect it
<ifreund> ok, that's probably a reliable way to check
<ifreund> I don't actually have a VRR monitor myself, so I will probably write a patch and leave a comment on the issue asking you to test it
<dariasc> will do the bug report but my codeberg activation link seems to have expired. will do it once i can get an account created lol
<dariasc> no problem, thanks!
<ifreund> cool, no ruch :)
<ifreund> *rush

<ifreund> clicking to raise/give keyboard focus now works with the rwm protocol
<ifreund> I think key bindings are the next big step now
<ifreund> maybe I should try and fix these 2 new river bugs reported first though
