<novakane> leon-p: I can't find a solution for -one-shot in enter-mode so I you feel like doing it feel free to do so

<leon-p> novakane: sure

<leon-p> oh, I don't think it' possible right now to pass modifiers to a command bound to a keys, because the arg parser for map will just catch them

<novakane> leon-p: with flags.zig?
<leon-p> yes
<novakane> hmm I thought it works like that for me, I need to test again https://paste.sr.ht/~novakane/e0282b83126362d86763bb4caa2030abd8d27dba
<leon-p> Hmm...
<novakane> my problem was that with a keybind handleMapping() would be run for enter-mode and so switch to normal mode directly instead of wiating for the next keybind
<leon-p> Aaah, yeah that's my issue as well :D
<novakane> hehe it tought me sometime to get that it was not a problem with map :P
<leon-p> now it works
<novakane> nice

<novakane> ah nice way, I'll probably test that later, I couldn't think of a if to do that logic in enterMode() xD

<leon-p> firefox LTS reliably crashes when trying to type-to-search in the file open dialog. that's new

<youpilai> leon-p: hi, i can't compile last stacktile, i get "stacktile/deps/zig-wayland/src/scanner.zig:615:48: error: extra capture in for loop
<youpilai>             for (interface.requests) |request, opcode| {"
<youpilai> i've done "git submodule update --init" before "zig build"
<youpilai> any idea ?

<novakane> youpilai: it seems you're not using the right zig version
<vimproved> seems like its version of zig-wayland hasnt been updated for zig 0.11 support yeah
<youpilai> i'm using zig 0.11.0, i though it was the last one
<vimproved> you'll probably need zig 0.10
<vimproved> or you could just update the submodule
przmk has quit [Quit: przmk]
<novakane> no if stacktile is still at zig 0.10 updating the submodules would not work
<vimproved> the error is in zig-wayland
<vimproved> but yeah if stacktile itself has incompatibilities with 0.11 then it won't work
<novakane> yeah but then the errors will be in stacktile
<vimproved> did zig 0.11 really break that much
<youpilai> leon-p did apply his patch 17 days ago, i'll be surprised he used zig 0.10...
qyliss has quit [Quit: bye]
<novakane> vimproved: yep, especially in build.zig
<vimproved> awesome
<vimproved> zig definitely has its priorities straight
<vimproved> drop LLVM before having an actual stable language
<leon-p> all my wayland related projects indeed still use zig 0.10
aryak has joined #river
<leon-p> mostly because I was too lazy to check how zig-wayland integrated (or does not integrate) with the new zig modules
<leon-p> I'll likely port them over slowly over the next few weeks
<novakane> it doesn't, ifreund waiting on issue upstream before using zig packages
qyliss has joined #river
<youpilai> ok, it's clear then. As my system get zig 0.11 and i don't know how to have multiple version of it, i'll wait. Thanks
<leon-p> youpilai: you can gfet a static executable of zig 0.10 from the zig website
przmk has joined #river
<leon-p> just download the tarball and extract it somewhere
<leon-p> I myself have in my shell: alias zig10="/home/leon/undefined/zig10/zig"
<leon-p> it finds the right version of the std lib automagically if you don't move it out of the extracted dir
<youpilai> i'll look into that, if really i need the last commit of stacktile ^^
<leon-p> ok, so yesterday night I got a mail notifying me of a comment on a river github issue, but following the link the issue does not exist? Like, not even closed? It' supposed to be 902. Both 903 and 901 exist and can be accessed. This is cursed...
<leon-p> I wonder what happens when I reply to the mail

<novakane> the beauty of github
<leon-p> yeah. every time I open the website of github or sourcehut, something has changed. GitHub usually gets worse, sourcehut usually gains features that improve someones experience and don't interfere with anyone else. gitlab however always stays the same: slow.
przmk has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds]
<leon-p> sourcehut apparently now has a webinterface for submitting patches and it does the git send-email stuff automatically in the backend somewhere. that's pretty neat
przmk has joined #river
<novakane> I think gitlab is even worse than github to me,
<novakane> it's been a longtime that sourcehut had this no? I never tried it tbh
<novakane> it's just been in my CONTRIBUTING.md for a long time xD
<leon-p> i never check the webinterface other than to update my 0Auth keys ^^
