<mtsd> Good morning Regenaxer
<Regenaxer> Nice morning mtsd!
<mtsd> Yes, it is :)
<Regenaxer> :)
<mtsd> I solved the pdf issues from yesterday
<Regenaxer> Cool, congratulation :)
<Regenaxer> using svg?
<mtsd> Yes, I was using svg even in the pil64 version, but I had not taken namespaces into account. I had to use the svg namespace too
<Regenaxer> ok
<mtsd> I got the same error testing the demo app from pil64 under pil21, fixed it there too
<mtsd> Can I send you an updated app/lib.l?
<Regenaxer> for pil64?
<mtsd> Well, it would be for pil21, really. I don't know, should we use the old app as a sort of demo/ introduction?
<Regenaxer> I do not want to touch pil64 any more
<mtsd> Or try creating a number of demo apps, along with wiki articles, that people can download and test out?
<Regenaxer> Was there an error in pil21?
<Regenaxer> Yes, demo apps would be great
<mtsd> Yes, when I ran the old app and tried creating a pdf (in ord.l) i got the error "pdf -- undefined"
<Regenaxer> but only in pil64, right?
<mtsd> It works when I add (symbols '(pico svg)) at the top of app/lib.l, and change a call to (width "0.5"), using (svg~width "0.5") instead
<Regenaxer> Hmm, did you not use https://software-lab.de/demoApp.tgz ?
<Regenaxer> It is just separate from the main release now
<mtsd> Ah, no. I downloaded the entire pil64 distribution and took the demo app from there.
<Regenaxer> Ah!
<mtsd> That's why, of course
<Regenaxer> I see, sorry
<Regenaxer> I did not explain
<mtsd> No worries, it was good. Because then I could find and fix the error. And understand namespaces better.
<mtsd> My own app is fixed too, now
<Regenaxer> Is it different from demo.tgz ?
<mtsd> It was a very good thing, actually
<mtsd> And by the way, namespaces are very nice to work with :)
<Regenaxer> yes, very useful
<mtsd> I am going to start using them more
<Regenaxer> Will you join PilCon on Sunday?
<mtsd> I am away on sunday, I'm afraid
<mtsd> Sorry
<Regenaxer> I see, a pity ;)
<mtsd> I like participating, wish I could do it more
<Regenaxer> No problem, another time then
<mtsd> I think moving on from pil64 is the right thing to do now. Focusing on pil21
<Regenaxer> good
<Regenaxer> pil21 has more and more improvements
<mtsd> I will switch my apps over to pil21
<Regenaxer> I want to show two new features on Sonday
<Regenaxer> Sun
<mtsd> Great!
<mtsd> What have you invented now? :)
<Regenaxer> One is for +Joint in +Bag, the other is suspending Vip and resuming in the REPL
<Regenaxer> very useful
<mtsd> Cool
<Regenaxer> It works because the whole Vip is a coroutine now
<beneroth> nice
<Regenaxer> interacting much better with the env in the REPL
<beneroth> elegant
<Regenaxer> I more and more change my working style with that
<Regenaxer> combination of psh and vip
<mtsd> Very direct way of interacting with the program
<Regenaxer> yes
<Regenaxer> We can explore this in several PilCons
<mtsd> That is a good idea
