Having issues with openscad crashing every time I try to render. Have tried changing model settings and reinstalling openscad not sure what else is viable to try

Duke: what OS? what version of openscad? is it only a specific .scad file or any render that crashes it?

I just found a reddit post that said to restart in between uninstalling and reinstalling openscad

and i think that is working - render has been working for longer

i found some clang warnings about potential leaks. for example this one: src/glview/OffscreenContextGLX.cc:224:3: warning: Potential leak of memory pointed to by 'ctx' [clang-analyzer-cplusplus.NewDeleteLeaks]

that has me wanting to rewrite OffscreenContext to use a class with member functions and unique_ptr etc.

but I don't know anything about objective-c, which is apparently the reason for the raw pointers etc in the first place?

anyone know to what extent I can write plain c++ in objective-C(++?) source. AFAIK the OffScreenContextCGL ".mm" extension indicates that its being treated as Objective-C++

peeps[zen] unfortunately I believe objective C is another c# sort of deal where it borrows some of the syntax for c and some from java hits them both with a shovel and does it's own thing
