<rcurtin[m]> okay, I am starting to transition these notebooks to the new mlpack 4 conventions, but I am having lots of trouble with cling claiming that functions don't exist when they do... just curious, has anyone seen anything like this? it also seems like I need to restart the kernel every time there is any error at all, otherwise it gets into a very weird state
<rcurtin[m]> it also seems like `using namespace` blocks don't seem to have an effect several cells later
<rcurtin[m]> but I am not sure if this is something wrong with the way I set it up, or just kind of a known issue to be worked around ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
<zoq[m]> I havenโ€™t seen this behavior.
<jjb[m]> ryan could you tag dirk and myself on the R package issues. We can ๐Ÿ‘€ probably this weekend.
<rcurtin[m]> zoq: ah, good to hear... my environment is probably set up wrong then. I'll wait until you are able to push an updated binder image, and try again with that. in the mean time, I'll do what I can to work through the notebooks that are working in my setup. jjb that probably means that the R dependency issues I encountered (via conda) are not relevant since I likely set up the environment wrong, but, if there is some actual persistent issue, I
<rcurtin[m]> will definitely send a ping :)
