ctrl+a in whatsapp seems to be a disaster since you lose whatever you had typed earlier if you begin typing after ctrl+a without looking up at the screen

Ok so mine is mac is it would be cmd+a for select all , and ctrl+a works similar to terminal

For normal use case ctrl+a is select all and the ctrl+c , or Ctrl+x and ctrl+v
