Hello, I did some profiling on KNN algorithm and found some places which can be executed in parallel using openmp. I'll open a PR for it once I see some improvement in performance timings :). Also @rcurtin please review #2169 once you are free.

@varun_agarwal you can start with understanding the ann codebase of mlpack and then figure out what modules it doesn't have that pytorch have.

@saraansh1999, I think the best way to start formulating a project proposal is by first going through the code base. I think you will get a better understanding of what needs to be implemented in those projects by doing the same. Also some projects have mentioned few algorithms that might be interesting to see in mlpack. Hope this helps.

@zoq Hello, I am Taapas Agrawal a 3rd year undergraduate from IIT Kharagpur India. I am interested in the project on Reinforcement Learning. I have been working on RL for past 1.5 years and am fully capable of writing custom OpenAI Gym environments. prudhvi-hack: Hey! It actually depends on what kind of contributions you want to make. For example, if you are interested in the ANN modules, you can take a look at the various layers, try to solve a few issues and maybe build some models (as given in the Models repo)
