does anyone know the difference between the phy-rockchip-inno-video-combo-phy.c and the phy-rockchip-inno-mipi-dphy.c? A cursory reading of the devicetree suggests both drivers are present to control the same hardware...

looks like the combo-phy also does LVDS?

rk3568 seems to have a compatible string in both, but otherwise they seem non-overlapping. Maybe it's two variants where one supports LVDS and the other doesn't. No clue why RK3568 is in both though, perhaps two different PHYs on the same chip for dual output?
