Heya narmstrong: dunno if you've followed the TI TDP158 driver errr... saga/drama, but it seems none of the drivers/gpu/drm/bridge maintainers have expressed their point of view. Only Maxime has participated, and he's not being the most receptive to this trivial driver...

So again, I'm wondering about the actual process. Should I just say "forget it", drop the driver and support the function with a hack in my forked tree? That seems a bit counter-productive now that the work has been done (several times, I might add)
