Hello, all of a sudden sound stopped working in my Rasperry Pi 4
<Elvanor>
I dont understand at all where this can come from. It worked perfectly for more than 1 year.
<Elvanor>
The HDMI cable is OK and video works fine. Sound on the TV works as well as soon as I switch to another source
<Elvanor>
I checked that I am using the first HDMI port on the Rpi, not the second one (which has no sound, at least by default)
<Elvanor>
I even just upgraded LE to 10.0.0 from 9.2 in the hope it would help... but still nothing
<colo>
have you tried booting with "hdmi_drive=2"? do other HDMI sources work with that HDMI audio sink? (maybe the TV's HDMI audio "reception" broke?)
<Elvanor>
colo: just found out the issue... switching the HDMI port on the TV fixed it
<Elvanor>
so maybe one of the HDMI TV port is fucked. strange, it worked before

<Elvanor>
rebooting the LG TV fixed it even for that port
<Elvanor>
so this was due to a stupid TV bug. sorry for the noise.
<Elvanor>
At least I upgraded to 10.0 along the way, but I am not sure I will be happy about it, as it disabled my (important) Retroarch add-on :(
