If i know more about programming at low level

<asimovsh>
but i think just organize the room isnt all

<asimovsh>

asimovsh: if you put your codeberg name in chat, phoebos can likely add you

I'd like to make a fork-ish version of kiss, but I need to find a _considerable_ amount of time to do it
<riteo>
The fact that I might make the core package stuff under the unlicense doesn't help, as I'd have to do stuff by scratch and I can't look at other projects (FTR, I didn't)
<riteo>
asimovsh: I've been compiling a shitton of ideas in the last years for an """extended""" version of kiss, striving to be offline-first, with ideally also better package consistency and reliability
<riteo>
some of those ideas like building in a chroot have been already put up in the community repo too
<riteo>
BTW, yes, kiss linux is already offline-first, but IMO it's not as ideal as it could be in regards to bandwidth efficiency and whatnot. Mine would be more of an experiment focused on implementing novel features more than one striving for extreme minimalism, which KISS achieves with stellar grades
<riteo>
ughhhhh so much time to drool over theoretical things and so little time to work on this stuff... It looks like I really like (high-level?) OS stuff, although I'm not sure if I'd like thinking about schedulers and whatnot, I'd have to try sometime.
<asimovsh>
The most important question what will be the name of this distro?

asimovsh: I've got working audio (using pipewire)
<ehawkvu>
iirc there is a bug w/ the current (0.14.82?) version of wireplumber, so you have to use an older release
