<testuser[m]> Hi
<kyxor> testuser[m]: hi, have you seen the message from github, chrome still crashes... (but not tabs, like the whole thing just dies)
<kyxor> im' trying to make tinyx work. it complains about missing xfont, what hek is that?
<testuser[m]> kyxor: Idk it's been working just fine for illiliti (i think) and i use ff
<kyxor> ok, not sure maybe he didn't test it for long enough
<kyxor> well lets see what he has to say..
<testuser[m]> I won't have access to a computer capable of running KISS for a few weeks so I can't test
<kyxor> Cool, i just built ver 97 and it's stable, so no worries, not in a rush
<testuser[m]> kyxor: there's some libxfont2 library that exists
<kyxor> yeah but configure doesn't pick it up
<testuser[m]> Check config.log for the -l it requests
<testuser[m]> -llib
<kyxor> ok

<phinxy> How do I make a boot log to file?
<phinxy> I mean, the boot messages, I'd like to see them.

<illiliti> kyxor: i use chromium as a daily driver and it works well for me, no crashes

<kyxor> illiliti: see this dmesg message here: https://github.com/ehawkvu/kiss-xorg/issues/49
<kyxor> did something similar happen before?
<kyxor> maybe it's because pkg is built with xorg?

<illiliti> yeah, i had these errors in dmesg before, but that bug has been "fixed" and now i don't have them anymore
<illiliti> maybe i don't know
<kyxor> hmm why is it still happening here though, I think the package and patches are all the same
<kyxor> oh I think i have an idea

<illiliti> i have one too: try chromium --no-sandbox and see if it works
cot has joined #kisslinux
<kyxor> oh, I always run it like that :)
<kyxor> so no, definitely not maybe it's the opposite?
<kyxor> like if I enable the sandbox and make an actual user instead of running everything as root, and also build the needed stuff into the kernel for sandbox to work...
paradigm has joined #kisslinux
<kyxor> going to ask ehawkvu how he run it, if he run it as regular user and still get that crash, it's not sandbox related. or something is missing from the puzzle
