fangerer, others: The SciPy 2023 proposals are open -- https://www.scipy2023.scipy.org/present. If you need funding, there is a good chance you can get it if you apply and have offered a talk. I think the biggest advantage of being at SciPy is that usually a bunch of the core NumPy and Python numerical projects developers are around and there would be an opportunity to work with some of them during the sprints if you like.
