<Arnavion> deja vu
<Arnavion> ftpd: You need `-Dgrapheme-shaping=enabled -Drun-shaping=enabled` in fcft and `-Dgrapheme-clustering=enabled` in foot and need to have a font that supports flag emojis
<Arnavion> (Well, you don't *need* them because they'll be auto-enabled if the required devel packages are there, but having them means the build will fail if you don't have the required devel packages)

<dnkl> ftpd: flag sequence are special, and really needs ligature support, which foot doesn't have. Foot still manages to display them correctly in many cases, but it largely depends on how they were printed, by the application running inside foot.
<dnkl> when you say "pure foot", I suspect you actually mean "a shell running inside foot".
<dnkl> meaning the result depends on how the shell handles flag sequences, and updates to the prompt, when it contains flag sequences
<dnkl> the closest thing to a "pure foot" you can get is by running "cat -"...

<ftpd> dnkl: Oh, it works well in cat. So this is a problem with my shell and/or p10k. Thanks, I'll handle it from here.
<ftpd> Actually I'm too old for emojis ;-) But sometimes people are putting them on IRC, so I want to see them properly. It works in weechat anyway, so I don't think any action from my side is required.
