hello. short question: using ncurses just for tput reset, like i do, seems to be overkill. i could bind a shortcut in fish relatively simple, with perl -e'print "\33c"' . question: it works on foot, but is this escape sequence "valid"
<dutchie>
sure, it's a vt100 escape sequence documented in foot-ctlseqs(7)
<dutchie>
also no need to launch perl for that, you can just use a shell builtin like `printf '\ec'`
<oleovit>
@dutchie thx, yep, printf works too of course, but it looks tike it's slower than perl (time prefix). maybe i dont use busybox printf and a fish builtin for printf, not sure

<oleovit>
.. it was a fish builtin. using busybox printf solved it. thx for hint and have a nice weekend
