<krobelus> If I use Ctrl+Shift+i to copy a URL, the clipboard is emptied after closing foot. Is this intentional? Do I need to use the server?
<krobelus> What is the reason for removing nonprintable characters from (bracketed) paste contents? I don't have a strong opionion, I'm just surprised this differs from gnome-terminal
<ifreund> krobelus: that's part of how the wayland clipboard works unless your compositor supports some kind of clipboard manager
<ifreund> using the foot server mode should also work around it though
<krobelus> got it, thanks

<krobelus> nero: yep
<nero> long time no see!
<krobelus> yeah, good times. Are you still using Alpine? I've never tried it
<nero> yes, currently considering to move my work pc from debian to alpine
<nero> was trying around with a sway+foot setup, and iirc versions on debian were to old for a stable setup
<krobelus> heh my work system is a remote container running ubuntu 16
<krobelus> the things I care about I compile from source anyway
<krobelus> you could probably make it work on debian, if that's worth the effort
