<hexa-> thank you!
<kraftwerk28_> Wrote it for myself, then stopped checking the PR thread, but I see there are a bunch of issues with it

<hexa-> kraftwerk28: I think it is a godsend for terminal based editiors in the age of language servers

<brapm> Hello! :) I'm using foot on arch+sxmo on a phone, and am poking around the code to see if I can get touch working, but I'm not a huge C guy and not super familiar with building.
<brapm> I've read through the INSTALL.MD and feel generally able to give it a shot, but the one thing I'm not sure on is if I'd need to change any names or anything during the build to avoid making my life needlessly hard since I've got a version of foot installed and running already.
<brapm> *not super familiar with building C projects. I am familiar with building projects overall.
<cbb> if you're working on the code, you don't need to install anything
<cbb> you can run the binary directly from the build dir

<cbb> if you want to have 2 installs, you're probably best building as normal and then copying just the binary into place manually with a different name
<brapm> Ah, perfect yeah that's basically exactly what I was wondering thank you :)
<brapm> And yeah I saw the linked issue when I started looking last night but it seemed like it had kind of stalled out, so I thought I might as well see if I could get it working locally
