after setting up cursor, i noticed that in insert mode VIM does not display a vertical line as a cursor. basically the cursor does not changes, it stays as a block

same vim conf in xterm, gnome-terminal etc works

ah, i solved by setting 'beam-thickness=1.5'
vimcursor has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
