<lilblacky> I have foot running under two instances of GNOME w/ CSD server. Not issues that I can see so far, what issues have you seen lh

<dnkl> lh: GNOME doesn't implement the "decoration manager" protocol, meaning the "preferred" setting in foot is effectively ignored (except for preferred=none).
<dnkl> i.e explicitly seeing it to "server" _shouldn't_ make a difference.
<dnkl> but, I should be able to test under GNOME myself later today
<dnkl> lh: only thing I notice is that if I drag the window, release the mouse button, and *without* moving the mouse (not even a single pixel), try to drag it again, then it doesn't work
<dnkl> this is gnome's fault. When we start a drag, we get a "pointer leave" event. But when we stop the drag, we don't get a "pointer enter" event until either moving the mouse, or clicking a mouse button

<lh> I just noticed the issue again, so yeah CSD preferred didn't change anything. it's pretty intermittent so I guess I'll have to screen record at some point

<ericonr> hm, that looks wrong, I don't have any of your libraries as devel and everything works

<travankor> ericonr: can you reproduce the issue?
<ericonr> nop
<travankor> maybe this person has installed their own fcft package with xbps?
<travankor> I can't reproduce this either, with all relevant packages from the repository
<travankor> the -devel package only has files from /usr/include
<ericonr> my current hypothesis is something fucky with glibc and not running ldconfig after installation, but idk for sure
<travankor> Wouldn't more things besides yambar be broken in that case?
<ericonr> *shrug* the mysteries of ldconfig are beyond me
<ericonr> dnkl: btw, they've opened https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/issues/32322, should be fine to close the yambar one
<dnkl> ericonr: thanks! and good luck ;)
<st3r4g> cannot reproduce either
<dnkl> Looks like foot's terminfo has been added to ncurses: https://invisible-island.net/ncurses/terminfo.src.html
<testuser[m]> nice
<dnkl> I'll still provide our own though, since it has a few unofficial capabilities.
<ericonr> and it will be more up to date :p
<dnkl> That too...
<ericonr> ncurses vendoring in terminfo makes things really weird for distros
<dnkl> There's a couple of comments in there I'll have to go through and see if things should be updated in foot
<dnkl> Funny one: he says status-line doesn't work, because "foot doesn't set the window title"
<dnkl> I suspect he tested on GNOME, with CSDs
<dnkl> And foot just recently added support for displaying the title in the CSD (not yet released)

<dcand> i changed show-urls-launch=Control+Shift+u to Control+Shift+f
<dcand> typing unicode using Control+Shift+u still doesn't work
<dcand> It works if i run foot on Gnome; but now when i run it on Sway
<dcand> Control+Shift+u works on Chromium when it's running on Sway
