When downmixing 7.1 audio to 5.1 by using `-ac 6`, does the right audio go to the right tracks? I don't have a surround sound system so I can't know for sure.

I've been recommended to use 10bit whenever I do a transcode, but what about 12bit? Is it better than 10bit? I have hardware acceleration for all up to 444-12bit so I'm really just wondering about quality and file size here
