<dustymabe> jlebon: was trying to come up with a longer term test for https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/1423 - was thinking https://paste.centos.org/view/3fde7c4b would do but that doesn't work because we can't inject our test framework glue in.
<jlebon> dustymabe: yeah, that one is tricky. i guess we could inject it as a base ignition config in a layered initrds instead? would require some work

<dustymabe> basically after https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/systemd/c/4bdd16eba5c409a5aa0afcc16f6e284f20793e06?branch=rawhide i noticed that we didn't get "systemd generator failed" errors any longer and was like "oh great we can drop that pin for now", but the truth is that we do still have failures, they just weren't showing up because it didn't hit our regex
<dustymabe> i can only assume it's because the failure message between the initrd and realroot are different
<jlebon> on a local testing-devel build, i don't see our chrony generator in the initrd
<dustymabe> hmm. maybe systemd just changed the exe name in the last few builds then?
<dustymabe> or maybe it's just an artifact of that backport patch (that never merged upstream btw) and it will go away when that patch goes away
