<r0ni> ukky while i dont have a cross-compiler setup, all my builds are optimized for the cortex-a53
<r0ni> https://rekt.lngn.net/crux-arm/ - while i haven't built everything, and there might be a few pkg with optional deps built as of now, I'm looking to clean it up as soon as I have time to do so (next week) feel free to leech anything that may aid you on the platform
<r0ni> all of core is there and possibly enough to run sway (maybe missing a few x11-libs in repo)
<SiFuh_> r0ni https://rekt.lngn.net/crux-arm/ So jealous how clean and precise the page is
<r0ni> that was barely 5 mins effort my server isn't setup to show a dir so i whipped that up to compensate
<SiFuh_> It is fantastic
<r0ni> it's just a hacked pkg-repgen but thank you ;)
<SiFuh_> Still fantastic
<r0ni> i need to get rid of the last modified column, thats a lie and i'm not editing that every time i push an update
<SiFuh_> Obvious it was a lie :-P
<r0ni> :) anyway, free to use, its my email server so not much traffic normally (and znc)
<SiFuh_> I don't use arm except for my phone.
<SiFuh_> Which I also rarely use
<r0ni> ahh i have mult rpi, pinebook pro, and mac mini which are my only recent machines and basically all i use these days is arm
<SiFuh_> So cool
<r0ni> i kinda like using the platform no one else does lol makes it more "hackerman" feeling ;)
<r0ni> there's a meme in there somewhere
<r0ni> the testing dir is the diff between intel/arm ports
<r0ni> i'm not sure if all that stuff works, i haven't tested most of it but the pkg built, so thats something lol
<r0ni> I got stuck with OT for the next 3 weeks at work, so my time to clean it up and expand is severly dampened for this timespan
<SiFuh_> OT is the company dog?
<SiFuh_> Occupational therapy?
<r0ni> I so wish lol
<r0ni> i'd prefer an Official Timeout
<SiFuh_> Err overtime
<SiFuh_> This flippin' planet and their acronymns
<r0ni> yes, overtime, and my days are already 12hrs each, so not much time to live/eat/sleep outside of work
<SiFuh_> Hahaha I remember when my job was 12 to 15 hours. I was always at home 8 hours in.
<r0ni> yes I fully expect to run out of my personal time in the coming weeks ;)
<ppetrov^> r0ni, what do you work?
<r0ni> for the biggest douchebag asshole in the world
<r0ni> Bezos
<SiFuh_> We were not on hourly pay though. We were customer based. So I would smash 8 hours and pull in more money than the 12 hour workers. Then my handler (boss who is not really my boss) would demand I stayout longer so I just slept for the rest of the 8 hours after telling him that the income won't change. :-P
<SiFuh_> I haven't worked since 2019 and they are still asking me when I will come back :-)
<ppetrov^> heh
<r0ni> hahaha you know you were highly valued at least ;)
<SiFuh_> r0ni: Yes, I live by the rule everything must be efficeent and logical when you are at work. Noo half assed shit. You work to the level you want and to hell with the boss :-P

<SiFuh_> I couldn't work for Bezos. I'd burn his yacht and punch his face in
<r0ni> i just tell eveyone to never buy anything from amazon, i know its not working, but the entire company is absolutely terrible yet it amazes me how large its become
<SiFuh_> I have not bought anything from Amazon, however; before I had an Amazon account I asked my father to use his to buy the Bablyon 5 Universe complete box set.
<r0ni> amazon is the biggest grift I've ever seen, and everyone knows if you want to be rich, be the middleman, yet everyone still feeds right into it, even though the company does absolutely nothing itself, he created a monter
<SiFuh_> Heh cheers! I wanted to look up the meaning of the word grifter yesterday and I couldn't remember the word 9 hours later. :-P
<SiFuh_> I was fishing and drinking beer and went home and was like "Fsck, what was that word again?"
<r0ni> haha i'm good with the words no one uses anymore lol
<SiFuh_> I heard it on Infowars.com Either Alex, Harrison or Owen used it. Probably Owner
<SiFuh_> Owen*
<SiFuh_> Right! Going fishing.
<r0ni> sorry, ended up on a phone call with the mother of my very new at driving daughter, cuz she knew i'd only be awake for a short while... hah have fun! watch out for debris !

<SiFuh_> r0ni: Send her here, we do offroad driving in the jungle every few weeks. Camp out for 2 to 3 days at a time mostly. My truck is manual but we have two automatics as well.
<SiFuh_> Right, back in a few hours...
<ukky> r0ni: thanks, I will try your binaries first when it comes to booting A53. But I have to make R5 boot before that, as R5 will boot A53.

<r0ni> ukky: r5? rock5? maybe this thread is helpful https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/slackware-arm-108/direct-integration-rock5-4175724301/ tho i don't thin even slack works really well yet
<r0ni> anyway i'm AFK gotta get to work :(
<ukky> r0ni: Arm Cortex-R5. It's a RISC-type 32-bit Arm arch.
<ukky> But I'm not gonna Linux on Arm-R5, it's gonna run without OS.
<ukky> s/not gonna Linux/not gonna use Linux/
