In section 7.3.3 about legacy boot with syslinux there are still references to /boot/efi which will probably confuse some people

Also mentions in the following paragraph

aside from that it seems fine

The XDG and profile mentions seem fine to me

oops, I must have mindlessly copied the commands from SiFuh's SYSLINUX-Cheat_Sheet.pdf without realizing the potential for confusing some readers. The installation should still work as written (and leaves open the possibility of switching painlessly to UEFI booting), but I agree it is a source of confusion.

jaeger: Yes CD-5.15.55.config is theone for the ISO which you named linux-5.15.55.config. linux-5.15.55.defconfig is the default config. Then config-5.15.55-modular is the one for the contrib folder. I updated it though due a very slight difference between building it under CRUX 3.6 and CRUX 3.7

jaeger: I revised the section about legacy boot with syslinux to better explain the installation directory. The latest draft has been pushed to my git host.

Maybe I read wrong somewhere. I thought PKGMK_IGNORE_NEW would be defaulted to yes. Is it not happening now?
<farkuhar>
SiFuh: are you referring to /etc/pkgmk.conf on a clean 3.7 installation, or an upgrade?
<SiFuh>
/etc/pkgmk.conf on a clean 3.7 installation
<SiFuh>
To be precise rc3 with my a modified kernel
<SiFuh>
Not to worry, either I read wrong or someone forgot ;-)
