Got error 'PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function create_function() in /var/www/htdocs/pmwiki.php
<jaeger>
Looks like a PHP upgrade broke it?
<jaeger>
So I think either update pmwiki or downgrade php to fix
<beerman>
let it burn i say
<beerman>
death to pmwiki, oh wait, this is public
<jaeger>
This was probably broken as soon as php 8 was installed, but apache wasn't restarted until the host rebooted today (no idea why)
<beerman>
sounds like it
<braewoods>
jaeger: it looks like pmwiki has updates for php issues

Looks like the problem lives in the rename cookbook, disabled that for now. The PHP error spam in the logs is insane, though

This is a bigger problem than I can figure out right now, php is pretty well fucked as is but I feel like downgrading to 7.x would be a bad idea due to CVEs. Anyway, have to get back to work. Maybe jue has some ideas, or I can look at it again later
<jaeger>
Hell, even getting PHP to logs errors somewhere is a fucking chore
<beerman>
jaeger: there are still updates to php7, and i maintain a set of them on a vm at work

i'll most likely crash in just a little bit, if you don't get to it by the end of the day let me know and I'll make them available for you
<jaeger>
For now I'm doing to downgrade php, though I am NOT a php guy and not sure if that's a great idea. Maybe jue will have another opinion when he's here
<jaeger>
At least pmwiki's rename cookbook and portdb were broken, not sure what else. Didn't check flyspray yet
