23:51 <farkuhar> Setting "Option pdftops-renderer mupdf" for my Brother printer in /etc/printers.conf sometimes wasted crazy amounts of paper printing unhelpful error messages instead of the desired file, so I've avoided mupdf and stuck with ghostscript as the pdftops-renderer.

23:57 <farkuhar> Correction: that line is from /etc/cups/printers.conf, and the wasted paper only happened when trying to print PDF version 1.5 or newer. MuPDF didn't strip out enough of the newer commands before passing the data to the printer, but ghostscript did.
