jaeger changed the topic of #crux-devel to: CRUX (https://crux.nu/) development channel | Logs: https://libera.irclog.whitequark.org/crux-devel/
<farkuhar> stenur: On a different CRUX machine I'm now seeing the error message you reported from pkgadd (but with packages other than tzdata). If I run 'pkginfo -o $FILE_IN_ERRORMSG' it tells me the file isn't owned by any port! I suspect something got corrupted in the package database. What does 'pkginfo -o /usr/bin/zdump' show on your system?

<ivandi> beerman: many thanks for zathura :)
<beerman> ivandi: best minimal pdf viewer out there, been using it for a while now
<farkuhar> agreed, thanks for putting zathura into contrib. Now I can drop it from my own repository. But I'll keep my port of zathura-pdf-poppler anyway, as an alternative to the mupdf plugin.

<beerman> farkuhar: yep, thats perfectly fine! thanks for contributing
<farkuhar> Setting "Option pdftops-renderer mupdf" for my Brother printer in /etc/printers.conf sometimes wasted crazy amounts of paper printing unhelpful error messages instead of the desired file, so I've avoided mupdf and stuck with ghostscript as the pdftops-renderer.
<beerman> printing is so outdated :)
<farkuhar> Correction: that line is from /etc/cups/printers.conf, and the wasted paper only happened when trying to print PDF version 1.5 or newer. MuPDF didn't strip out enough of the newer commands before passing the data to the printer, but ghostscript did.
