<zmatt>
hmm okay weird... can you share a full log of the serial console? (using pastebin.com or similar text-sharing site)

Hey!
<set_>
Did anyone ever figure out how to handle and develop on the beaglev-ahead with specific armbian builds?
<set_>
I keep trying while knowing nothin'. I have not gotten far. As one can wonder, I have built 100+ builds without success.
<set_>
Aw!

is it possible in a shell/bash file to use two, separate git entities while the main program wants to know only one of them for email and username verification?
<set_>
I am getting some oddities in builds because of using github and gitlab in the same file...

jakllsch: then how is it loading u-boot from the sd card? :P
<jakllsch>
i'm not sure!
<jakllsch>
different sdhci drivers?
<jakllsch>
in any case, i managed to wedge the image onto the emmc where it's working
<jakllsch>
somehow NetBSD was seeing the microsd card
<jakllsch>
i have no idea what's going on
<zmatt>
that error message you gave also sounded like it was from initramfs, not u-boot? like, since when does u-boot use device paths like /dev/mmcblk0p1
<jakllsch>
it got to the initramfs
<zmatt>
right, so bootrom was able to load u-boot, u-boot was able to load the kernel, initramfs, and device-tree
<jakllsch>
even when i'm booted of emmc now, it doesn't seem to detect a microsd insertion
<jakllsch>
well, i'm also having trouble getting `mmc dev` and `mmc info` to see the microsd in u-boot
<jakllsch>
sometimes
<jakllsch>
like, it seems like holding S2 helps?
<jakllsch>
i thought it was only supposed to be read at POR
<zmatt>
it is only sampled at POR
<zmatt>
it does absolutely nothing at any later point (including reset/reboot other than POR)
<jakllsch>
i've noticed
<zmatt>
and all it does is prevent bootrom from attempting to load u-boot from eMMC
xet7 has joined #beagle
<zmatt>
more precisely, it changes the boot device search order (for bootrom only) from { mmc1, mmc0, uart0-xmodem, usb0-rndis } to { spi0-flash, mmc0, usb0-rndis, uart0-xmodem }
<zmatt>
jakllsch: it may be useful to remove "quiet" from the kernel parameters ("cmdline" in /boot/uEnv.txt on the sd card) to get more kernel logging
