Hello. I would like to power an AI-64 with a battery module through a voltage regulator. Page 50 of the datasheet suggests it is possible to provide power via the expansion connectors on the board. I've already narrowed down pins 1 and 2 as ground, however I am unsure which pins can be used for the input voltage. Could you point me in the right
<Guest8428>
direction? Thank you.
<zmatt>
I'd assume it's the same as other beaglebones, i.e. P9.01+02 = GND, P9.05+06 = 5V, but let me double-check

<zmatt>
yeah, P9.05 and P9.06 are tied to the 5V DC input jack center pin

<zmatt>
so putting 5V on that is equivalent to powering the board via that jack
<Guest8428>
Great, thank you

This is a side question, but are there any references for all the acronyms and shorthands used in the connectors section? e.g. figuring out what "RGMII7_RD1" or "MCASP4_ACLKR" mean
<zmatt>
in many cases it's not too hard to guess, e.g. RGMII7_RD1 will be a pin belonging to an RGMII port, which means you can safely ignore that function since I very much doubt you'd get RGMII over those expansion headers ;)
<zmatt>
or who knows I guess, maybe you could, but few people would care to
<zmatt>
MCASP peripherals are digital audio interfaces (Multi-Channel Audio Serial Port)
