<ajb-linaro>
what is the magic done in the kernel wrapper that means you can't boot a vmlinux directly via qemu's -kernel option?
<ajb-linaro>
ahh
<ajb-linaro>
(gdb) p/x image_low_addr
<ajb-linaro>
$8 = 0xffff800008000000
<ajb-linaro>
I guess the vmlinux vaddr isn't setup
<maz>
arnd: didn't you have some patches to get rid of the old Cavium 11MP stuff?
<maz>
i was sort of hoping to see them in -next...
<arnd>
maz: yes, I have this 100-patch series to remove all the unused platforms. I had planned to submit it all for 6.2, but rmk found bugs in some of the other patches and I decided I need more testing.
<arnd>
The testing is under way now, but I'm targetting 6.3 now
<maz>
fair enough. I'll hold on to some of my own patches until then.
<arnd>
maz: I also have an experimental patch to completely drop v6 SMP support, and rework ARMv6 to put it into the same category as v4/v4t/v5 in a multiplatform build instead of v7/v8
<arnd>
this should solve a number of separate issues
