[Discord] <efectn> @amazingfate do you think should we change chromium-browser with chromium in mesa-vpu extension?

<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <efectn> by the way using chromium spams `[drm:vop2_plane_atomic_check] *ERROR* Invalid Size: ...` to the dmesg output
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <amazingfate> chromium has to use ozone wayland for vpu decoding and that would cause random crash

[Discord] <monkablyat> Had a lot more problems with the Chromium browser from the Rockchip Multimedia PPA. That annoyed me so much that I switched to Brave
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> Isnt brave having some privacu issues? (I heard / read somewhere) Dunno is it true?

[Discord] <rpardini> I know the connector won't fit the intended one for fan, I wonder about the mounting holes on the heatsink
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <t1msu_87222> so the mounting holes seem to be at a distance of 32x32mm which should be correct

[Discord] <jonh7776> Anyone running a 5120x1440 monitor on Rock-5b with Armbian vendor kernel. Max resolution I could get on mine with this kernel (vendor) is 3840x1440. Using the older vpanthor (vendor-boogie-panthor essentially) kernel I can use the full 5120x1440. I'd like to switch to newer kernels but they don't seem to support the full resolution of my monitor. If nobody knows why this would be <clipped message>
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <jonh7776> the case or how to fix it I will have to try to sort it out myself of course. Thought I'd ask for help first though... 😉

[Discord] <jonh7776> Replying to my own post seems odd but I think the solution was to load the rock-5b-hdmi1-8k overlay in the armbianEnv.txt when using the vendor kernel. 5120x1440 appears to work fine now. I should have checked the overlays in the first place but I just didn't think about it at first.
