<icecream95> Note that only OpenGL 2.1 is supported with the old Mesa 20.3, but the newer 22.3 now supports OpenGL 3.1. SuperTuxKart will now try to use the slower renderer which uses features from OpenGL 3.x, so you will have to reduce the graphical settings (disable the "Advanced pipeline") to switch back to the old but better-performing renderer.

<Tonymac32> @rpardini I think this is the CMA issue
<Armbian-Discord>
<Tonymac32> let me get a second opinion. It's a broken image/dtb for sure, the board is operating correctly until u-boot does something dumb
<Armbian-Discord>
<Tonymac32> @srepac if you've tried the Libre Computer images for the board, post on http://hub.libre.computer and they'll be able to give you better guidance. I don't have a 512 to do any testing on, last I checked my 1 GB it worked just fine
<Armbian-Discord>
<Tonymac32> otherwise I'm in Michigan, if you care to ship it
<Armbian-Discord>
<srepac> Someone from NH sent it to me. lol
<Armbian-Discord>
<dsx724> @srepac have you tried the official images like Ubuntu and Raspbian from distro.libre.computer?
<Armbian-Discord>
<srepac> Yes both didn’t work
<Armbian-Discord>
<dsx724> Same crash?
<Armbian-Discord>
<srepac> No. It tried to load the OS but got hung up.
<Armbian-Discord>
<srepac> I don’t recall the exact error. After a couple hours of trying different os images, I gave up
<Armbian-Discord>
<dsx724> Write that to a USB key.
<Armbian-Discord>
<srepac> As I stated before, it won’t let me update spi firmware to the 2021 version but it allows the 2020 version without issue
<Armbian-Discord>
<dsx724> This should work regardless of version.
<Armbian-Discord>
<dsx724> Write to USB key and update.
<Armbian-Discord>
<srepac> Don’t we need the boot.scr file also?
<Armbian-Discord>
<dsx724> The spiflash has it all in a premade image.
<Armbian-Discord>
<dsx724> Just dd it to a USB key.
<Armbian-Discord>
<dsx724> Then plug in.
<Armbian-Discord>
<srepac> Sorry but I will try this tomorrow. I’d rather sleep than fiddle with this now
<Armbian-Discord>
<dsx724> Sure
<Armbian-Discord>
<peterB> hi, can anybody please direct me to the right direction? i am flashing an SD card with Armbian_22.08.1_Khadas-vim2_jammy_current_5.10.139_kde-plasma_desktop but there is no boot partition on the card after flashing (with balena etcher). i tried to flash the same image to a USB drive to rule out the SD card reader problem with same problem. All the instructions i have found say that after SD card flash there
<Armbian-Discord>
should be a BOOT partition where i need to make some changes before putting into my device
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> there is only one partition
<Armbian-Discord>
<peterB> when i mount the burned disc to linux it has only one ext4 partition
<Armbian-Discord>
<peterB> which is readable
<Armbian-Discord>
<peterB> so is there a new procedure how to boot it on amlogic devices?
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> instructions on armbian website or on the internet?
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> to boot vim2 device from SD card and not from internal media is described on download page or at khadas wiki
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> i think you need to hold middle button and power on
<Armbian-Discord>
<peterB> i have dual boot on the device as i can boot libreeelec from a sd card
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> i don't know how librelec boot is designed. could use some legacy methods
<Armbian-Discord>
<peterB> id i use the button method it always boots into android recovery
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> i found this, below "booting"
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> it should be the exact same way
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> "Force khadas VIM2 boots from SD card: After power on, quickly press the Function key 3 times in 2 seconds, then release the key. Refer to khadas VIM2's"
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> did you try this way? Mine has Armbian boot loader on, so it always boots from SD card if inserted
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> or whatever is on SD
<Armbian-Discord>
<peterB> will try now
<Armbian-Discord>
<peterB> i have only one button
