<pepijndevos[m]> whitequark: would you be so kind to push a yowasp-nextpnr-gowin release? There has been a bugfix in FPGA package names so docs/examples are out of sync with latest yowasp.
<pepijndevos[m]> (kinda embarrassing, due to parsing stuff from excel sheets a footnote ended up as part of a package descriptor lol)

<MoeIcenowy> I am considering deduplicate Intel Cyclone 10LP/4E support in Yosys (because they're just too similar FPGAs)

<MoeIcenowy> (and maybe in addition add Cyclone III because it's what 10LP/4E based on)
<MoeIcenowy> a problem is that Quartus may expect different cell names for different marketing family
<whitequark> pepijndevos: PR#589?
<pepijndevos[m]> yep and https://github.com/YosysHQ/apicula/pull/57 on the Apicula side
<pepijndevos[m]> We did the Apicula PR and the Nextpnr PR at the same time, and in the short window where I made a release to fix the nextpnr CI someone managed to install it and run into incompatibility haha
<pepijndevos[m]> Yowasp example failure btw: https://github.com/yrabbit/apicula/actions/runs/1485719905
<pepijndevos[m]> `ERROR: Unsuported package 'QN88'.`... because it used to be `QN881` 🤦‍♂️
<pepijndevos[m]> In the future I plan to do an actual non-alpha release so that when people pip install they don't get stuff that hasn't been rolled out through the ecosystem.
<whitequark> yeah, it's why i insisted on managing the apycula dependency the way it happens now
<pepijndevos[m]> Yea having them version locked is very nice, so it isn't even a compatibility error between Apycula and nextpnr, it's just that the examples are not bundled with yowasp. So hm, if I'd bundle the examples with the Apycula release this error would not happen.
<pepijndevos[m]> In theory I could tell my CI to use the tag corresponding to the Apycula release but that's some github yaml magic I'm not excited to explore.
gmc_ has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds]
<pepijndevos[m]> So yea it's not a high-priority failure because yowasp is actually working fine, the only problem is that if someone copies the instructions from the readme it will not work because they have the fixed package names.
