18:41 <Mickal[m]> Sure. In the process of trying to make a simplified reproduction as I'm currently building a rather large code base (for which I don't have permission to share the sources). I'll open a defect once I have it narrowed it down.

18:54 <Mickal[m]> hum, I think I've narrowed it down. One of the transient dependency is openblas-src which depends on native-tls to be built. So cargo is correct trying to build openssl-sys for the host at this point so it can later on build openblas-src. The issue is that pkg-config is configured to return information of the target version of openssl not the host.
