<thekappe>
Hello guys ! every time I update an image for my target, its rsa fingerprint change so that I always have to remove the old one and add the new one to known_host
<thekappe>
how can I avoid that ?

I'm using dropbear for ssh
tgamblin has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<thekappe>
I can create a new package in a dropbear.bbappend recipe
<thekappe>
qschulz: is it a good way to do it ?
tgamblin has joined #yocto
<thekappe>
BTW, if I have multiple boards in the same network they would share the same key. Could it be a problem ?
<qschulz>
that's one way, the other way is to just ignore the keys by running ssh -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no -o UserKnownHostsFile=/dev/null when connecting? (I haven;'t checked if those are the correct options but it reminds me of something :) )
<qschulz>
as always, it depends on what you want to do :)
<qschulz>
the issue with having multiple remote devices with the same key is that someone could technically swap devices without you knowing

JPEW: I'm kinda stuck with this SSH_AUTH_SOCK stuff on Pyrex tbh, it turns out if I do: podman exec --user qschulz -it romantic_tu ssh-add -l my key gets correctly displayed. This does not work with the root user... so the question is... what exactly is happening to the bitbake command so that it does not find the ssh auth sock?
<qschulz>
SSH_AUTH_SOCK makes it to the bitbake process AFAICT, could be checked by running cat /proc/2/environ on the container

Hey there! I've having rendering issues with a RPi4, 2GiB, wayland, and weston as compositor. It is some sort of tearing, as can be seen here: https://youtu.be/nX5X9bttbTY

Any ideas on what could be the issue here?

qschulz: hmm, I wonder if it's podman specific
<qschulz>
JPEW: I'll try to spin a Ubuntu VM with docker and check if it works there or not, but this weirds me out tbh. Because it does work outside of bitbake (yes, in the container)
<qschulz>
JPEW: also I hope you like PR because you got some over the last two days :D

jj50: sounds like the libera switchover. halstead?
<RP>
zeddii: nothing. It only happened once and it seems sstate related. I merged the changes as I don't think its from those
<RP>
zeddii: I'm worried but I don't know how something would build with the wrong headers like that :(
<zeddii>
I'll keep an eye on it as well. I checked my perf logs here, and there is normally a warning if it finds a deleta in a header, but but I didn't see anything this time. I'll keep looking though
<zeddii>
and in the meantime, will forge on with testing to make 5.13 the default.
leo_sandoval has joined #yocto
<RP>
zeddii: I'd have expected other reproducibility issues if it really was switching headers :/
<RP>
JPEW: its is possible its the loader in the kernel, it is possible it is the argp code or it could be the actual library reading
<RP>
JPEW: My working theory is that the binaries we see issues on have linked debug sections which normally none of our binaries have until we add them
<RP>
so basically something can be edited at the same time as we're calling dwarfsrcfiles on something which might reference it
