Hey, I'm having some wlroots error, whenever I type in river, I'm on Arch Linux using nvidia gpu if that helps. It's telling me that it couldn't connect to socket /run/seatd.sock: permission denied. Could not activate session: permission denied. No backend was able to open a seat
<Guest47>
And it goes on

Guest47: do i understand correctly that with 'type in river' you mean 'try to run river'?
<tiosgz>
either way please share the full log (using a paste bin). the inability to connect to seatd shouldn't be a problem, as most people are running logind (unless i'm misreading what the message says)
<tiosgz>
oh, arch linux. you're indeed running logind unless you've gone a long way not to
<ifreund>
(they already left a while ago)

I sometimes wonder if IRC would benefit from a bot that responds to any messages containing a questionmark with some version of "please stick around, answers may take a while"
<vyivel>
a ui issue tbh
<vyivel>
given that newer users usually connect with a web client, i'd put a note there
<leon-p>
fair
<leon-p>
connecting as a transient user via a webclient is arguably both IRCs greatest strength and weakness
<vyivel>
maybe with ergo it's better
<vyivel>
or any other server with chathistory

is there any way to define keybinds without modifiers ? or is this a hard limitation. I want to reduce modifier use by creating a "window manager mode". You can enter it by pressing a single key "Super" and exit it by pressing "i".
<cathalo>
wait nevermind I just use None, cool
