<libret60> hello everyone. i have got note: 'wlr/render/drm_format_set.h' file not found. does it mean something is wrong with my wlroots installation? it is 0.15.1-r1
<libret60> that's the last thing written in my compilation log which failed
<ifreund> libret60: well, how did you install wlroots for starters?
<libret60> ifreund: thank you. i did doas apk add wlroots in my alpine linux installation
<ifreund> libret60: you probably haven't installed the package with the development headers, you need the -devel variants of all dependencies on distros that split those out
<libret60> ifreund: yes, you are right, doas apk search wlroots gives multiple options
<libret60> okay, at least most of the errors disappeared
<libret60> in libreoffice i can't press file, edit, view etc... buttons with xwayland. is that xwayland related issue?

<fsx> Hi, I noticed a view/window goes into floating mode when I move or resize it. I'd like it to stay in tiling mode, e.g. resize other views or swap spaces with another view. The man pages don't say anything about this. So I guess it's not supported.
<fsx> This is the behavior I had in bspwm.
<fsx> I did see the main-ratio for rivertile, but it resizes for all tags.
<fsx> Anyone knows of a tiler program that does this?

<novakane> fsx: if you want different layout per tags you need to use an other layout generator, have a look a the community layouts page in river wiki
<fsx> novakane: Looks like I can try something with either kile or river-luatile. Thanks. )
<fsx> * :)
<novakane> stacktile can do it too

<fsx> novakane: Ok, but it has no documentation or examples. I didn't have time to read through the source code.
<leon-p> fsx: stacktile version 1.0.0 has docs, you can simply git checkout that tag
<fsx> leon-p: Oh, thanks. Didn't spend much time looking around, sorry. (at work atm)

<Ristovski> ifreund: Is there an ETA on wlroots 0.16.0 release? The milestone seems to have no open issues and only 2 MRs

<xaltsc> Hey, idk if it's been reported yet, but I'm having kind of a bug with my external monitor compared to what I was used to with X11: whenever my external monitor goes off, views don't get moved to the main monitor, however, turning it back on makes them go to the main monitor instead of staying on the external one. This doesn't happen when the HDMI cable is plugged out, all view are moved to the main
<xaltsc> monitor as expected.
<xaltsc> These may be related issues https://github.com/riverwm/river/issues/675 https://github.com/riverwm/river/issues/666 although it's not quite what I'm talking about; and idk how sway behaves.
