for the 20G deletion that doesn't free anything: maybe it's because the disk was filled to 100% by a root process, then even if it goes down a bit a non-root process still isn't allowed to write more until it goes down below some threshold

but yes, if you want to migrate everything, sure. Feel free to transfer the 500GB of buildmaster---as far as I know the internet usage limit for this machine is crazy, nothing as "small" as 500GB
