<cfbolz> mattip: does gdb give no useful information at all?

<mattip> even when I compile pypy with debug ( -g -O1 ), and stop just before the offending call, the code makes no sense

<mattip> I get a w_obj that is the RPython object for PyUnicodeObject of "np" but space.len_w(w_obj) is 0
<mattip> in the good news department, the 7.3.5 release is now on conda, with linux64, osx and ... win64 !!
<mattip> so far it is only the win64 base interpreter, they need to roll out all the packages, so not worht a twitter
<mattip> but progress non the less

<cfbolz> mattip: wow, congrats!

<mattip> LarstiQ: it is a small step but one that requires a lot of CI resources, so I hope they will agree to do it now and not wait for 3.8
<mattip> cfbolz: about a week of two hour "push a change, check CI logs"
<mattip> the annoying part was remembering that "cd" on windows should always be "cd /d"
<cfbolz> ouch
<cfbolz> that sounds not fun

<mattip> when we move to github, we should split rpython into its own repo with ~2 years of history
<mattip> then we could have it as a submodule dependency, and pin python2 to an older version
