(i don't have privs for it in jenkins, same for picodrive btw)
<arno11>
i built drnoksnes this morning, no issue for armhf but launcher is still broken because of osso-games-startup .launch issue
<Wizzup>
ack
<Wizzup>
will see if I can find a more permanent solution
<arno11>
ok

<arno11>
btw, currently building -locally- last netsurf dev stuff: apparently js is supposed to 'work' quite fine on low power devices...let's see on n900
<Wizzup>
cool
<arno11>
dsc_: even with a build in background, conv_slim is still fast and smooth on my n900 :)
<sicelo>
is it just my N900 or we have some tz issues in daedalus? `date` (and logs, etc.) show timestamps in my local time (UTC+2)
<sicelo>
but the hildon clock shows it in UTC
<arno11>
sicelo: seems ok on my device
<sicelo>
maybe something went out of sync here. I think i've resolved it now

has anyone made successful calls with tp-rakia + vcm? In my case, sphone crashes all the time
<sicelo>
Using vcm from dbus seems to work, but then no audio both ways
<sicelo>
arno11: what ucm profile do you use with Twinkle? HiFi, I guess?
<arno11>
sicelo: twinkle works with both hifi and voicecall
<arno11>
weird @no audio btw.
<arno11>
i didn't try sip with vcm and daedalus btw
<arno11>
maybe another PA issue (like ringtone apparently)
<arno11>
will try sip soon to confirm
<dsc_>
arno11: can also disable avatars ;)
<arno11>
as you want, but not sure it will make a huge diff. it works fine actually
Daanct12 has quit [Quit: WeeChat 4.6.1]

sicelo: at least, rakia + vcm was ok on chimaera
<sicelo>
could also be my SIP server of course, but I think it's behaving correctly. I'll login to it and capture the rtp stream
<arno11>
ok (currently testing)
<arno11>
but still building netsurf in background lol
<sicelo>
;-)
<sicelo>
otherwise I'm happily daily driving the N900, receiving/making multiple phone calls each day
<arno11>
cool :)
<arno11>
no sound with sip for me too, but no sphone crash
<arno11>
hmm no crash, but it fails to show backends in gui anymore
<arno11>
something seems wrong with sphone
<arno11>
i still use 0.9.5 btw
<arno11>
the same version worked fine in chimaera
<arno11>
will try twinkle with same sip accounts a bit later
<sicelo>
the 'contacts backends' issue? so you're having it with 0.9.5?
<arno11>
no that's a diff. issue, contacts backend is fine for me
<arno11>
*in 0.9.5
<arno11>
actually when i launch the dialer i can't choose sip backend
<sicelo>
is the account activated and online? you may have to restart sphone for it to show the sip backend
<arno11>
yeah the account is active and online ofโฌ
<arno11>
*ofc
<arno11>
no the backend was visible, able to make a call and then backend disappeared
<arno11>
*call with no sound

arno11: I mean, avatars can be disabled in the settings, and that saves a few kb of RAM
<dsc_>
:P
<arno11>
ah ok, fair enough :P
<arno11>
sicelo: twinkle-console still works amazingly well (call between 2 bad hsdpa networks)
<sicelo>
Wizzup: uvos: so sphone has the 'contacts' backend issue because it wants libebook-1.2.so.20 which is provided by libebook-1.2-20. in daedalus, we now have libebook-1.2-21, which provides libebook-1.2.so.21
<arno11>
ah ok
<sicelo>
arno11: nice! so you were using twinkle-console? not the GUI?
<arno11>
@sphone: maybe we have this kind of issue with PA module as well
<arno11>
sicelo: @twinkle, yeah i prefer twinkle console
<sicelo>
Wizzup: no idea why sphone has been working fine so far though ... i don't think that lib changed recently
<sicelo>
dsc_: ah, thanks!

Wizzup: what's the relationship/difference between hildon-meta and hildon-meta-core?
<sicelo>
ah, -core is an attempt to end up with a smaller Leste installation ootb?
<sicelo>
mmm, or hildon-meta is on the way out, and -core is the one to use?
<sicelo>
maybe i should explain why i'm asking - now that i think i'm done with the upower stuff (and its friends), i'm thinking about the Librem5 again ... will need a meta-librem5 naturally
<Wizzup>
sicelo: both will remain, hildon-core is to make smaller images
<Wizzup>
hildon-meta-core
<Wizzup>
hildon-meta is still what we'll use in the future
<sicelo>
so for now i'd need to add n l5-meta to both?
<arno11>
netsurf feedback: indeed js 'works', able to log on some online accounts where js is needed. google search and google news work without js errors
<arno11>
it is not as fast as new dillo but i built netsurf without any optimisation
<arno11>
and it is quite already usable
<sicelo>
i tried (on pc) with on github ... which sites did you try
<arno11>
i.e amazon
<arno11>
uh, indeed github is...buggy
<arno11>
but able to login
<arno11>
like the old version, NS needs a proper config file imo
<arno11>
gmail seems to work
